HAMMERED-IN MECHANICAL FASTENER WITH INSULATED STEEL PIN KLIPLA®D

Application

  The mechanical fastener is an additional, necessary fixing in KLIPLA® external wall cladding system with a real brick slips finish.

It is used to transfer wind suction loads.

Properties

  Combined with KLIPLA®P thermal insulation panels, KLIPLA® K adhesive mortar, KLIPLA®F pointing mortar  and brick slips KLIPLA® C , the fastener creates a unique KLIPLA®external wall cladding system with a real brick slips finish . The mechanical fastener is featured with increased resistance to shear and pulling forces, while the insulated pin limits possible point thermal bridges.

Instructions for use

  Start installing the mechanical fasteners not earlier than 48 hours after bonding KLIPLA® thermal insulation panels. KLIPLA® thermal insulation panels feature special factory-made mechanical fastener recesses where you are supposed to drill a hole to accommodate anchoring diameter and depth, in accordance with the table in the notes. The recommended number of fasteners is 9 pcs./m2. In the holes place the fastener jacket, then press it against KLIPLA®P thermal insulation panel as far as it goes by hand or mechanically. Next, put the steel pins into the jackets by hammering them fully down with a sure and hard strike so that the whole element is flush with the surface of KLIPLA®P thermal insulation panel. A properly installed mechanical fastener is flush with unfolded bonding surface of KLIPLA®P thermal insulation panel, and placed perpendicularly to the surface of the panel.

Consumption

  It is recommended that the number of mechanical fasteners is not less than 9 pcs./m2.

Tools

 Hammer drill, switchable between rotary-percussion drilling and rotary drilling.
